Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) have finally announced that the compulsory bird housing measures, put in place in the face of the recent Avian influenza outbreaks, are to be lifted for April 1st. It has been a long and stressful time, with many chickens suffering health and welfare issues, being cooped up for so long, so this news comes as a great relief. Please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/avian-influenza-bird-flu, for guidance on preparing to let your chickens out after March 31st.
